Meet the 2020-2021 Leapers – Part 1

October 6, 2020

We have loved getting to know the new Leap staff at PTM the past few months! If you haven’t had the chance to meet them in person, here is a chance to meet 2 of them!

Meet Jasmine!

What is your role at PTM? Assistant Youth Director and Event Coordinator

Where are you from? Oxford, MS and I went to Ole Miss

Favorite PTM memory so far:   Every time my kids say or do something silly! But the best memory was when I went hiking with the Community House kids and Tina lost her shoes.

What is your God Inspired Dream? My God inspired dream is to enact change within the education system.

Favorite quote from a PTM kid:   The question: What do you want to be when you grow up? “A unicorn veterinarian” – Skylar

How you spend your weekends: I love to spend time relaxing and with family. I also enjoy going to church, and finding new things to do in town.

Meet Alyssa!

What is your role at PTM?  Assistant Development Director

Where are you from?  Texarkana, TX (Baylor University sic ’em)

Favorite PTM memory so far :  Making songs and dancing with kids on Fun Fridays!

Why did you choose to do  LEAP ? Graduating college in the middle of a pandemic is very weird and comes with a lot of uncertainty. When I finally decided to start looking for post-grad opportunities, I knew I wanted to move somewhere new, gain experience in nonprofit ministry, and get outside of my comfort zone. I came across PTM and  LEAP  and knew that the experience would give me all of that. I’m so thankful to have a year to learn about development under some awesome people and be constantly challenged and growing!

Favorite moment in the LEAP  house: I celebrated my birthday in August and the girls surprised me with a birthday breakfast spread. It was a super sweet morning and I felt so loved and celebrated by PTM staff all day!

Your favorite Nashville spot: Steadfast Coffee in Germantown – I love coffee and made it my mission early on to find my favorite spot. So far it takes the cake!
