Meet the Leapers 2020-2021 – Part 2

November 10, 2020

We have loved getting to know the new Leap staff at PTM the past few months! If you haven’t had the chance to meet them in person, here is a chance to meet 2 of them (and check out Part 1 if you missed Jasmine and Alyssa!)

Meet Amanda!

What is your role at PTM? Assistant Program Director and Theater Director

Where are you from? Cincinnati, OH but I  moved to Nashville 3 years ago to go to Belmont!

Favorite PTM memory so far: Community House’s Fun Friday nature club! We’ve been going to different parks and hiking, playing in  the  creeks, building teepees, and doing nature scavenger hunts with our elementary students. Those days are always filled with lots of laughter and joy!

How did you first hear about PTM? During my third year at Belmont. My residence hall had to choose a nonprofit to partner with as part of an “into-Nashville” service initiative, and we chose PTM! We volunteered monthly at Community House and helped out at a few other programs!

Favorite quote from a PTM kid:   “Miss Amanda, why are  the y called crawdads? Are  the re ‘craw-moms’ too?”

Favorite Nashville Spot?: Definitely Radnor Lake! I love to go hike  the  trails or sit by  the  water and enjoy sometime in nature. It’s also a really great place to catch a beautiful sunrise!

Meet Southern!

What is your role at PTM? Assistant Director at Wilson Center and Programs Specialist

Where are you from? Lee University in Cleveland, TN

Favorite PTM memory so far : Fun Fridays!

Why did you choose to do  LEAP ? I chose to do LEAP year because I needed a good program to help ease me out of college, and I love Nashville and working with children!

Favorite Quote from a PTM Kid: Titus walking down  the  bus aisle with a knit sweater on saying “It’s September 1st”

One item on your Nashville Bucket List?: Get a tattoo
