Building Joy-Filled Friendships
All people are created for connection and relationship with others, according to the Hardwired to Connect study, and the students and families at Preston Taylor Ministries are no exception. PTM is a community that cares deeply for the people within it, because it recognizes the power of positive relationships and the transformation they can bring.
So, why volunteer at PTM? Because you can help bring transformation AND experience it yourself.
“Every child thrives when they feel a sense of connectedness… connectedness to God, to purpose, to self, to caring adults and peers, enriching experiences, and future.”
– Janet Kuhn, Longtime PTM Volunteer
“Knowing there are people that are serving our young people is beautiful to me, and being involved is wonderful.”
- A PTM Volunteer
Ways to get involved...
There are many ways that volunteers join the PTM community to build positive relationships with students and support PTM's mission:
- Meet with a student weekly as a 1:1 mentor.
- Volunteer at one of PTM's eight after-school sites.
- Come with a group to do a service project at one of PTM's facilities or with a special program.
Volunteer Job Descriptions:
Find Your Spot
Regardless of how much you want to give or how frequent you are looking to volunteer, PTM has a spot for you!
PTM has opportunities for volunteers to dive deep with a single student, as well as equally important opportunities that give volunteers the chance to pour into a whole group of students. If you have a heart for discipling students, join the PTM community!
