After reviewing over 30 resumes and applications and interviewing 8 different candidates to become PTM’s High School and Thrive Director, we asked Nicole Odom to lead our high school students and recent high school graduates.  What makes Nicole such a great fit for PTM is her devotion to Christ, her passion for building relationships with students, and her creative approach to leading and developing programs while focusing on individual relationships.  Here are a few lines from her cover letter that reflect Nicole’s approach to helping to build the kingdom of God:

            Since first entering the ministry in 2010, I have walked closely with families through many major life events including pregnancies and childbirths, adoption, juvenile detention, probation, the incarceration of fathers, separation of families, neighborhood shootings, and more.  I have gained valuable experience and insight into the culture, mindsets, and challenges of children and youth considered “at risk”, and I consider it one of my deepest joys to get to share life with them. … Even more than organized ministry and work, relationships and ministry have simply been my lifestyle for many years now.  I would be deeply honored and filled with great joy to have the opportunity to be a part of the community and mission of PTM as the High School and Thrive Director.”

Nicole has done an excellent job preparing our high school students for Summer SaLT, where eight students are employed by companies who are partners to PTM.  I am so encouraged by the way God continues to provide leadership for PTM.  I hope that you will get a chance to interact with Nicole soon.  I think you will be encouraged by her heart and desire to serve.  I know I have been.  Thanks for being a part of PTM’s ministry.
