“2018 HCA Hack for the Community by Janet Kuhn”

April 10, 2018

QUICK!  Can you solve for x?

#H4tC = COCs + PSCPs + x

  Solution:

x = a dedicated, wonderful team of volunteer “hackers” who will spend 36 hours developing technology for PTM on April 12 and 13 in the . . .

2018 HCA Hack for the Community!!

#H4tC

PTM was selected this year as one of 21 nonprofits to have technology solutions built to enhance our mission and impact our community! Specifically, our “hackers”, some of Nashville’s best visual designers and software developers, will create an online tool and interactive visual display for our students to use as they navigate their COC Maps (Circle of Connection Maps), and PSCPs (Post-Secondary Comprehensive Plans).

These are two new initiatives in our Middle and High School programs. COC maps provide a visual way to document and track a student’s social and personal relationships and can be a powerful tool for not only discovering which connections exist and are favorable and strong but also areas where needed connections may be missing (click  here  to read a recent Blog on COCs). PSCPs will help students convert what they’ve learned about themselves from their COCs into concrete, comprehensive plans for their high school and post-secondary careers.

Our hope is that this engaging new tool developed during the  #H4tC  will help our students recognize their God-given gifts and God-inspired dreams, create plans for their futures and track progress toward their goals.
