Bone Hampton – the term “crossover” is seldom used of comedians, yet the word is the perfect descriptor for “Bone” Hampton, one of redemptive comedy’s most well traveled and in-demand funnymen. Bone’s comedic smarts know no bounds. One day he can be seen hosting and performing at 10,000 seat music festival, the next working the crowd at a comedy club or he’s doing his thing at a church gig, and the following he’s making a splash on a hit sitcom.
Such is evidenced in his diverse resume, including “All About Steve” with Sandra Bullock & Bradley Cooper, NBC’s My Name is Earl, ABC’s Less Than Perfect, and reoccurring appearances on ABC’s Daytime talk show The View, on TBN’s “Praise the Lord,” Lecrae’s “Higher Learning Tour” and on the Thou Shalt Laugh 2 and 5 projects with Tim Conway and Chonda Pierce.
Bone is the 2005 Urban Gospel Alliance’s Male Comedian of the year and the Recipient of the 2013 GMA Dove Award Grady Nutt Humor Award for Comedian of the Year. Hampton can also be heard in Nashville weekday mornings co-hosting on “Mighty Good Day” with Stellar Award winner Lady Shaunte’ on 760AM on The Gospel, and is part of the comedy tour “The Heavy Hitters” with Chinitta Morris, Akintunde, and Marcus Wiley.
